about this project

Lyme Farm Road, Lewisham

Lyme Farm Road, situated within a three-story block of flats at ground floor level, underwent significant transformations with the proposed works. The project involved the demolition of internal load-bearing walls and the creation of a new rear single-storey extension. To maintain the structural integrity of the building and prevent any disruptions to the flats above during construction, new steel frame support systems were strategically implemented. This careful consideration of structural support not only ensured the successful execution of the proposed changes but also prioritized the safety and stability of the entire building structure.

In addition, a crucial aspect of the project involved the production of strategic sequence of works drawings. These drawings were instrumental in guiding the builder through a phased installation of the steel support system. The strategic sequencing was designed to ensure that the structure above remained intact and undisturbed throughout the construction process.
