about this project

Mottingham Road, London

The redevelopment of this existing semi-detached house involved the demolition of the rear outrigger building to make way for a new vaulted pitched high ceiling extension. To support the architectural design and structural requirements, a steel stability frame was essential for the large opening between the existing structure and the new extension.

Additionally, the main rear frame of the extension was formed using steelwork, primarily due to the presence of large glazing openings and a limited presence of masonry walls. This strategic use of steel elements ensured both the structural stability and the aesthetic aspirations of the project, creating a seamless and well-supported transition between the existing and new spaces.
